Please reach us at felicity@reconnectioncounselling.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Counselling is a safe, confidential space where you can explore yourself. It can include just simply getting to know yourself better or looking at personal issues, challenges, or goals with a trained professional.
We can all use counselling for different reasons. Some people start counselling at a time when they might feel overwhelmed, stuck, distressed, or struggling to cope with life certain challenges. While other people engage in counselling as an ongoing part of their self-care and connection with self. Only you will really know if you want or are ready for counselling and if its right for you.
You can get in touch through our 'Contact Us' tab above and we will be in contact shortly. Otherwise you are welcome to email directly or contact us via phone.
Currently no referral is needed as we are not Medicare subsidised.
You can self-refer to start the process.
You are also welcome to get a referral from you GP if you would like our counsellors to have a deeper understanding of what is going on for you before booking an appointment.
The first session typically involves discussing yourself, any concerns you have, goals for therapy, and getting to know each other. It’s also a chance to see if the counsellor and service is the right fit for you.
We unfortunately do not offer bulk-billing, nor are we covered under Medicare or Private Health Insurance.
We do offer tiered payment services based on your annual income, which you can discuss with us before booking your first appointment.
We offer both in-person and telehealth options, depending on your needs and location.
Currently we only offer counselling to individuals 16 years and over. However, we are working toward making our services available to younger individuals in the future.
